    Call Of Duty : Modern Warfare 3 [Guide]


    Do not UPDATE your Wii.
    Update = SoftMod Gone

    YOU CAN GET THIS GAME RUNNING BY USING A cIOS WITH A BASE ios of 57


    Note - If you have used Mauifrog's guide to modify your lovely Wii then you should have already installed the correct configuration to run the game.

    Select in your USB Loader - cIOS 250 (57)
    Or - Hermes cIOS 224 (57)

    If you are not Soft Modded and would like to be then use Mauifrog's "Mod Any Wii Guide" Look -->     Here.


    If you are unsure if you have the correct cIOS then run a syscheck using this guide and check. (Thanks to Shift_Lock)

    So this is what you are looking for in your syscheck


    I don't have the correct cIOS--How do I install it?

      Hi guys, I'm trying to get it to work, I installed the wads and followed the guide but it's still stuck on the black screen with loading at the bottom. I'm also using CFG Usb Loader v70.

      Here's my sys check.

      Warning: If your game freezes after leaving a spec ops co op match and you have to power off your wii it will corrupt your save. This has happened twice now. Spec ops co op is currently unplayable on Wii so save yourself some trouble and avoid co-op special ops and a corrupted save. Or remember to make a backup of your save file.

      the cios i posted is slightly different from the guide. that cIOS may not work with my neogamma.please replace my link for the working cIOs thankyou.

      One friend has bought a pal wii and bought the ntsc version!He has softmodded the wii with mauifrogs guide...will he be able to play the ntsc version without problem?

      According to about 50 other people I tried to play with last night it is. If you're telling me you're playing CO-OP survival with no lag and at a decent framerate what's the secret?

      Do not take me the wrong way, as any information can be helpful.
      However in this case a methodology has been put into place and written out for this particular guide/thread.
      This thread also takes into account that your original softmod was done according to the "softmod any wii guide" on our site. And the cios for 249 should be the one installed.

      Therefore downgrading a Cios may work for your situation, but is also likely to make other games stop working, that previously did work.
      You may want to look into updating to a newer version of neogamma, if that's possible. Just keep in mind that disk loading has pretty much become obsolete and the backups will not perform nearly as well as usb loading.

      i have tried upgrading to a new neogamma loader a few times but....when i do alot of games dont work any more.with this method if other games dont work anymore after the Cios change i can simply uninstall it again.then reinstall when i want to play mw3.

      Perhaps the newer neogamma needs the newer Cios? has this been addressed?

      These 2 variables need to coincide. or one needs the other to work together.

      yes i installed the new cIOS with the neogamma's i installed. but i rolled back to the neogamma a have now.. I will upgrade one of these days but at the moment all games seem to work fine. ill try my other games with the v20 cIOS and see if they still work

      I have done everything this guide has said. Installed ios224 provided in the original post and ios250
      and neither work when I launch the game through Wiiflow R374, Usbloader GX 2.3, CFG loader v70.

      This is driving me crazy and its pissing me off to the point where I wish I would of NEVER modded my wii for usbloading. (for the 2nd time!)
      The mw3 iso was also ripped by my big bro from his gamestop bought mw3 for the both of us.

      What are we doing wrong here? Is it the loaders? our ios? or is it the iso rip? You guys are the pros and any further help would be appreciated.

      Oh, I also did that Syscheck thing in case anyone would like to see it.

      Have you installed cioscorps at any stage? You didn't need to install cIOS base 57 at 249 because now you have it in three slots 224/249/250

      Are you changing the cIOS in the loader? What is the defaulting cIOS for your usb loader 249 or 222?

      Lol...yeah thanks. I meant on Wii though...was playing on PC and it's flawless. I just played a game now (on wii) and it wasn't as bad as last night but still not playable in my opinion. The point of my post was about the corrupted save file and that you should backup your save.

      I installed 249 base 57 for I believe black ops on wiiflow or Monster hunter 3 Tri a few months back. So should I install 249 base 56 instead? My bro also said that he followed a guide from another site which included something called darkcorps?? I have no idea what that means but yeah.

      I also did change the ios in all three loaders when launching mw3 switching from 224 to 250 but still the same issue loads to a black screen.

      The default ios for usbloader gx is 222 and wiiflow is 249. I'm not sure what the default ios for CFG loader is though so sorry.

      Love how people don't even pretend to bother to read the guide; if you had, you'd know the answer to this.

      Could be a bad rip then... DarkCorps allows you to play backup games through the Original disc channel. We don't have a guide here because we feel it causes too much trouble.... Messes with too many of your ios's.... I'd consider removing it and also maybe following Mauifrogs Mod Any Wii Guide to give you all the needed cIOS.
