    Call Of Duty : Modern Warfare 3 [Guide]


    Do not UPDATE your Wii.
    Update = SoftMod Gone

    YOU CAN GET THIS GAME RUNNING BY USING A cIOS WITH A BASE ios of 57


    Note - If you have used Mauifrog's guide to modify your lovely Wii then you should have already installed the correct configuration to run the game.

    Select in your USB Loader - cIOS 250 (57)
    Or - Hermes cIOS 224 (57)

    If you are not Soft Modded and would like to be then use Mauifrog's "Mod Any Wii Guide" Look -->     Here.


    If you are unsure if you have the correct cIOS then run a syscheck using this guide and check. (Thanks to Shift_Lock)

    So this is what you are looking for in your syscheck

      Moved from Europe to America, and the games here are NTSC, so... Yeah, it kinda does make sense

      ok, that still does not explain the 'backup' being NTSC now does it? If you have a PAL console, a PAL game, then by all means your 'backup' will be PAL also, make any sense to you now?

      I did not said my game was PAL, did I? Sorry if I did, but that's wrong. The game is NTSC, and the Wii is PAL. So yeah, that makes the backup NTSC too.

      in that case then you need to get the correct region as cooper suggested, sounds just like black ops when you play different region

      Hey guys. I got the wii shop channel to update without updating wii. My brothers destroyed my mw3 DVD, but I had a backup copy on my USB. How do I update modern warfare 3 using shop channel?

      You dont actually update it with the shop channel, the shop channel is just needed for the game to update itself. Just go to multiplayer and it will prompt you to update.

      dude you can just use neogamma backup loader and change bootup to PAL

      OK, so I did a syscheck on my wii and turned up only 75 titles; 49 IOS's; 3 Stubs; and alot of the say "No Patches" instead of NAND Access... Is this bad?

      When I startup this game it prompts me to update. I do not see an option to avoid update. How can I play this game or back it up to my HD without updating it?

      It depends on which update you are talking about. If it prompts you for an update when you start multiplayer, its it ok to accept this update. If as soon as you put the disc in it prompts you to update your system, you need to install priiloader and set it to block disc updates.

      Hello all, I apologize if this question has already been asked and answered but I did read through the guide and searched a couple dozen pages and couldn't find anything.

      I have the game modded and it runs fine. I am using WiiFlow and did not have to make any changes to IOS. Played right away when I tried for the first time. The game loads fine with no freezing. I can play a campaign with no issues. However, when I go to Multiplayer, it brings up a window saying, "Required Update - Call of Duty: Modern Wafare 3 requires an update for online play...." or something to that effect. Is this safe to download directly from the game/Nintendo? I didn't want it to wipe out my modded Wii.

      I know the guide mentions "Note for SAVE DATA CORRUPTED and NETWORK LAG - Online GAME Update available to fix 17/11/2011Online game update available 17/11/2011 - Yes it's safe to take. " I wasn't sure if this was in reference to the message above that I am getting for the game or this referred to another mod that is out there for download from this forum.

      Can you please let me know if I can download the Multiplayer update that comes up for Multiplayer? Sorry again for my newbness.

      how do i properly do the update if i have never messed with the wii shop channel since i first started my wii ?

      i get the please update message when i select multiplayer now.

      Yes. The update has nothing to do with IOS, or system menu.
      It's just a game patch, and is totally safe to update.

      Anyone care to help me out with this i asked earlier, but when i tryed to load in cios250 it says 1 is still missing anyone know why, i used that MMM installer thing. Also use use usb loader gx new one, when i use cios250 it doesn't even load, when i try ios249 i get to the load screen and never past that. Please help i can't get it to work.

      Hey i did that and it still says 1 missining when i get to ios250 and also ios251 now, the rest of them loaded though. Do u know what this might mean??Am i missing anything else this is the only game that doesn't work as well as blackops.

      I'm playing a NTSC version of this game, on a PAL wii. And I can't get it to download the patch. Is there ANY way I can install the patch without having to start a new save from scratch on a PAL version of the game?

      Well, apparently, the issue with the patch that the PAL players with NTSC iso's are getting, is that the region's are mismatched. i.e A PAL player with his region on Euro, whereas it should be on US, which is the one where they got the iso from. It should show that the version is v.02 whereas it should actually be v.114.2, which is what the normal players have. The consequence of this is that you cannot get into the spec ops mode and you can't play with anybody who has the 'proper' patch. I have this problem too, and I have found it very hard to find a lobby.

      Does anybody know if it is possible to mod my wii so that I can have both PAL and NTSC regions so that I can play all of my PAL games and my NTSC games? Any advice would be much appreciated thanks.

      ^Nvrmind my last post. I believe that I've found the solution for this. If I have time tomorrow, I'll post instructions
      On hiw to get the latest update v.114.2 on a PAL with an NTSC .iso file.
