YOU CAN GET THIS GAME RUNNING BY USING A cIOS WITH A BASE ios of 57

Note - If you have used Mauifrog's guide to modify your lovely Wii then you should have already installed the correct configuration to run the game.

Select in your USB Loader - cIOS 250 (57)
Or - Hermes cIOS 224 (57)

If you are not Soft Modded and would like to be then use Mauifrog's "Mod Any Wii Guide" Look --> Here.

If you are unsure if you have the correct cIOS then run a syscheck using this guide and check. (Thanks to Shift_Lock)

First: Make sure you are running Neogamma R9 Beta 47, *NOT* Beta 50. I believe that Beta 50 was giving me black screens when attempting to load online / multiplayer modes from DVD.

In d2x cIOS Installer v3.1 under Settings:

Select cIOS <d2x v6>
Select cIOS base <57>
Select cIOS slot <250>
Select cIOS revision <21>

Install, and exit.

In Neogamma IOS Switcher:

Select IOS 250. Hit A twice to save your selection, and exit to Homebrew Channel. (If you receive an error about a config file not being found when loading IOS Switcher: Load up Neogamma R9 Beta 47, go into Options, General Options, set Save Config to "Yes" and exit. Neogamma IOS Switcher should load fine now.)

From here, simply load Neogamma R9 Beta 47, select DVD, and run. MW3 should boot, and online / multiplayer should (hopefully) work.

Going to test this. Will report back to see if it works.

Edit: Didn't work, got a disc reading error with Beta 47, but I don't get it with Beta 50.

ahh so it does.. lol.. well it also matters what loader you are using.. the version of the loader matters as well.. try 250 if you have it and see what happens.

Hey thanks I did some more readin up and used the Installing the correct cIOS using The d2x cIOS Installation Guide extracted d2x v7 b1d wad pack to wad fold er on sd root installed using MMM now running it on 250 it loads up multiplayer havnt played yet but hopefully this works

ok i have been playing mw3 for a few days online using doggeggs original softmod and neogamma r7, ios249 rev 19 with no problems until tonight.... i went to go online and now it says i need an update to play this game online, does anyone have this update or know what i need to do to get back online with this game

I have the same thing as #266. I saw it says it's safe to take on first page so I went to wii shop channel to update. But when I load wii shop channel, it says that there is a wii shop channel update I need to run.

Is it safe to run wii shop channel update first? or it will break my softmod?
