    WiiFlow v3.0 Alpha r417 Released

    Changelog-
    Compile with portlibs devkitPPC libogc r24 and 1.8.8
    * Move the stack up 8 bytes and align bss So after 32, so that. end is always
    aligned.
    * Fix finding of the main application in channels, there is not need for a second
    scan of the app files and checking for memcmp with a wad header if you get the
    info from the TMD correctly. This Eliminate the skip_bootcontent method and
    all nand games boot the same way.
    * Add a workaround for custom channels (forwarders) so that they use
    WII_LaunchTitle instead of the custom appldr.
    * Fix booting of injected vc.
    * Align everything going through ioctls and ioctlv nand for emu, to improve cache
    flushing.
    nand * Improve the emu mount / dismount and simplify it.
    * Rename everything to WiiTDB GameTDB, and change to the new URL's. This
    includes some fixes to the cover downloader and speeds it up A LOT. Instead of
    12 requests for each url missing cover, now it will be 2-3 at most. There are
    therefore no longer separate url's for channels and games. So renamed wiitdb any
    references in languages and themes to the gametdb counterpart, using the same
    case as it were before.
    * Some cleanup of wbfs initialization, removing some unneeded or unused
    parameters and variables.
    * Added sdhc.h and sdhc.c from CFG
    * Added support for playing games from SD with the same file system support as
    USB.
    * Added sorting by console type based on the id of the game. Use it by sorting
    By game ID and using b + up / down to cycle through the system.
    - Some new translations for this:
    custom = Custom
    commodore Commodore = 64
    = neogeo Neo-Geo
    NES = Nintendo
    SNES = Super Nintendo
    Sega master system = Master System
    Sega Genesis = Wii Channels Wii = Wii homebrew Homebrew = unknown = Unknown
    Lower priority mem2 size to send more shit to MEM2_alloc
    * Raise mem1 upper limit for the AppLoader 8 bytes.
    * Make downloader cheat work for WiiWare and VC
    * Delete menu 7, forgot last commit
    * Attempt at fixing case colors, still needs work, So titles may need some work
    since they seem to not be read or xml form custom_titles.ini sometimes.
    * Clarify the setting up of low memory in disc.c
    * Remove the parameters from the ios AppLoader, Disc_BootPartition, and
    Disc_WiiBoot.
    * Make question truly work for WBFS partitions.
    * Clean up some includes throughout.
    * Make all data pointers and parameters for channel launching use u8 * instead of
    u32 * to get rid of mass casting to pointer math.
    * A shit load more im sure, need to commit to sync to official SVN.

      I loaded this up, reloaded my forwarder and everything seemed to work fine until I tried to play Redsteel...now I get the health screen, a "Licensed by Nintendo" screen, then get kicked back to the Wiiflow screen with my games...I downloaded the WiiWTDB file and that didn't help. Any other ideas?

      Mortal Kombat: Armageddon is also a no go. I get to the screen that shows what controllers are playable, and then get a complete reboot to opening Wii screen where you have to push A to continue. Just to let the devs know. Other than those two, my other games play. It's nice playing Metroid Prime Trilogy again without having to switch in settings!

      Hey people!

      I have some wonderings, are there any way to expand the Wii internal memory or like... Playing Wii Ware/VC games through an External Harddrive? Right now I have them on a SD card, but it about to run out of space as well as I can't load the games from SD card on Wii Flow. I have heard about something you can use the normal Wii home screen spots, but actually using other source of space or something. All in all.. I just want to be able to load Wii Ware/VC games through my External Harddrive which is FAT32 format.

      Do a search for triforce or mighty channels.

      Sent using the WiiHacks app. Please excuse the brevity, punctation, and spelling.

      Hmm.. I looked that triforce up and it doesn't seem to be what I am looking for. I want to run everything in one app (Wii Flow). Not having to change all the time depending on what I want to play. Are there no way to kinda.. "trick" the wii that the wii menu channel spots won't take space from the wii internal memory but actually the Internal Memory or something? (These spots is what I am talking about ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting) So that I can have for an example 50 Wii Ware/VC games on the Wii menu, that way Wii Flow can find the games and play them through there. Or just have the Wii Ware/VC games or whatever stored on External Harddrive like I do with my Wii games in a wbfs folder?

      @ Janssonn

      Wiiflow does the same thing as Mighty Channels (Formerly known as Triiforce)

      It is a little complicated though, so the best thing to do is probably get a copy of Mighty channels and get it running, and then switch that over to wiiflow... it is all about an emulated nand.

      This is exactly what I wanted to do with my wii, but for some reason my emulated nands refuse to play NES games.?!.?!

      Good luck and you can pm me if you have an easy questions, I am far from an expert

      Hmm.. Now I feel confused. After I installed Mighty Channels (Where do I get it, with a complete newbie guide for extreme newbies? xD) then switch it over to wii flow? :S How? And that will make me be able to run the Wii Ware/VC Games on the Wii Flow? Correct?

      @Janssonn

      Ok both Mighty Channels and Wiiflow use an emulated nand, which you can then install wiiware and Virtual Console games to..

      The benefit to this is instead of using the available drive space on your sd card or on your wii, you use the drive space from your USB drive.

      Update:
      At least for me Wiiflow V3 is a dud. It will not initialize the network to download covers, it will not allow emulated nand (or I have not figured it out again yet), other stuff. It seems like they broke more than they fixed. Just to clarify this is an alpha release so I realize there will be issues but for now I would suggest sticking with 416.dol. You will have to rename it to boot.dol.

      Here is a guide for Mighty Channels
      http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...re-sd-usb.html

      Read through it and work through it, if you still have questions you can ask me in pm

      I read the guide, did the guide, did a little Google-ing and lot of reading and it is done. WiiFlow, for me, is working perfect. I have one last fix. Maybe I'm using the wrong keywords to search. The trailers! The video looks and works as it should but the audio not so good. Any thoughs?

      INSTALLING GAMES? WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? THANK YOU!

      Okay so, I am trying to 'install' a game onto my hard drive using WiiFlow and I...
      1) Put the game disk in
      2) Go to Homebrew Channel
      3) Go to WiiFlow
      (I have no games currently installed)
      4) Press 'Go' to start install
      5) instalation bar comes up and its got a small tidbit already downloaded but there is NO percentage.
      6) I have waited over an hour and still it doesn't load ANY further.

      What am I doing wrong?!

      @raise

      Download a file called WiiBackupManager (google) then plug drive into computer and run it. Then set it up for use. Basically it creates a folder called WBFS, this folder is where all of your games will be and where you will install the games from wiiflow

      I have been running Wiiflow for years without any issues. I tried to run the new Kirby Dreamland game and it was freezing. I read that you need to update cios 249 and 250. I did this but now WiiFlow is no longer showing my cover art.

      I am running WiiFlow version 1.1 using a WBFS partition along with a Fat partition for the covers.

      I have tried updating Wiiflow to version 2.2 but can not figure out how to install the channel forwarder (Wiiflow Channel) on the Wii. I can only load version 2.2 from the HBC and even when doing this my coverart does not show up.

      The covers are all located on the hard drive in usb:wiiflow\covers directory.

      Also if I try and download covers, it fails to download them even though it is finding them. I assume it does not know where to save them to. I don't remember having to set all this when I first installed Wiiflow, but it was a long time ago.

      Any help would greatly be appreciated!

      Did you even bother to read the tutorial? You ask questions that are directly addressed in it; this suggests to me, you have not (read it).

      I did read through the tutorial multiple times but unfortunately I can not figure out what I am doing wrong. I apologize for asking questions that you feel are directly addressed in it but I can't seem to figure it out.

      This is not working for me.
      I have like 10 games no my hard disk, but Wiiflow doesn't detect any of them. It says no games found. But USB loader does detect them. My hard disk is FAT 32. Basically, when I start Wiiflow, it says there are no games detected, and then the option "Select" partition is there, so I try using it, and I can only select FAT 1, which does not work.

      Yeah I think this newest version broke more things than fixed. You should probably install the older version until this version is out of beta

      Ok, I am attempting to run an emulated nand so i can play some snes games...and this is becoming to be more of a hassle than id liek it to be.

      Someone explain to me a little more on how to do this using wiiflow. I have wiiflow running perfectly for wii games. now i need it running wiiware and vc games.

      Also, it seems to be loading and running on my SD card using my forwarder, which i find weird since all my files are on my USB...but it sees and loads them fine.

      I have d2x cios installed to slot 248 because cios 17 is installed in 249. How do I force wiiflow to look for d2x in slot 248 instead of 249? Or do I have to install the d2x to slot 249?

      I just followed all instruction here
      Code:
      http://www.wiiflowiki.com/Wiiflow
      and installed using wads, the new wii flow has no .iso selection it detects the right one to use.

      also remember to delete the wiiflow files as instructed. all you need is the .dol file to install wii flow.

      Read page properly.

      Hope this helps.
