    Apple has finally released the long awaited iOS 5 for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. This new iOS brings some new features such as Siri, Notifiction Center, over-the-air updates and more.

      I beleive the error iTunes shows is "Internal Error"

      The itunes servers are so busy it's failing half of the update requests so you got to keep trying until its accepted

      Must be a locale thing (keeping in mind you're in Puerto Rico). After you posted it, the link went ZIP! and was done (750mb or whatever, lol) at this end. I'm in no hurry to apply it... I got my kids' iPod gen 4s as untethered ATM on 4.whatever...

      Figures, you download a huge file only to get hung up in it phoning home --- that's logic for Apple. There an untethered option out yet?

      Nope, just tethered with redsn0w or sn0wbreeze. I used redsn0w its far easier and faster now that u dont have to point it to the .ipsw as before. There are already 5 exploits found but it'll be logical to release it after the iphone4s gets to the public

      I'll wait for an untethered option, it's ridiculous to have to slave it to a PC each and every time (but thanks for the 411).

      Grabbing the IPSW was no problem for me. Updating iTunes and getting the iPod to update is the hardest part right now.

      Looks like everything is back to normal now. Jailbroke a friend's iPod and had no rpoblem with iTunes this time
