Homebrew app, Sound how to?

How do i get sound? I would like to play ogg files but every guide i've followed has led the app to an exception. This includes the codemii tutorial. Does anyone know how to get sound to work? Oh, if i use the template for sound it will work, But i want to use a custom sound file. not the one provided by devkitpro.

uh, its one I'm trying to make i haven't decided on a name or what it'll do. I'm just trying to get a feel for devkitpro and what it can do.
