XCM i-case black knight?
Does anyone have the XCM i-case black knight case for their wii? I want my wii to be black. People on eBay seem to be charging for thier black broken wii close or more expensive than what I can get a working wii for. I'm considering the XCM case, but I'm worried about Fitment.
I believe that's the case I have and the fitment isn't perfect but its almost there lol. The 3 front buttons that came with the case didn't fit properly and constantly got stuck but I was able to use the original white ones...it gives it a bit of contrast and I actually prefer the white ones to black ones. The little stickers that cover up the screw holes are horrible and most fell out already. But over all i'm happy with the case.
Thanks superchop for sharing your experience with the case. I emailed console source and asked about the quality and Fitment of the case. I think they only responded with what they thought would make a sale. Still undecided about this case, I managed to find one for sale on eBay at a gaming store 1.5 hours away from me for 26$ and 5$ shipping. At that price, I felt safe taking the gamble. My wii has scratches on the side and a missing GameCube controller port cover from the original owner. I'll let you guys know how it is when it arrives.
Well, here is the verdict. I received my xcm black night case and talismoon led dvd slot. Both products suck and I wish I never purchased either. I now have a half-assed panda wii and am probably going to find another oem wii. I spent 5 hours doing this and finally gave up. xcm guide
Whats wrong with the talismoon led dvd slot:
- Wire is way to long and has thicker shielding, causing fitment issues.
- One wire actually broke from the pc board, and I was extremely careful throughout the whole process.
- Didn't get to use it. Waste of money.
Whats wrong with xcm black night:
- Studs are not tapped, but screws went in easy. No big deal.
- 2 areas look like they melted away part used as a bracket used during the molding process.?
- The faceplate does not fit properly, regardless of combos with my oem buttons. I spend hours trying to get something to work. Buttons would stick, my oem white or black. Ended up using my oem white faceplate and oem white buttons.
- The rubber feet do not stick. I repeat, sticky feet do not stick!
Very upset. I always get screwed. I took the chance. It was a bad gamble.
Sorry to hear yours was this bad...I'll admit that #1 and #4 I had those issues...the sticky feet stuck for a little while but like i mentioned before...they all fell off. #2 I can't say I've seen that with mine...and the whole faceplate issue I didn't expect you to even have problems with the oem white buttons :(

@superchop it's not your fault. I took a gamble.
UPDATE: I puchased the items on eBay from a nearby store "Gaming Source LLC". I emailed them to share my experiences with them, explaining that I took a gamble and didn't want to see others go though the same trouble I did. The owner, Ryan, called me and said to send the wii and parts and he will try to make them work for me.
He was able to put the oem white buttons on the black faceplate by having the faceplate off the ground so the buttons didn't touch anything when assembling. He also put a green led on the oem DVD gate, so quality and Fitment was no longer an issue.
I would definitely recommend contacting him for modifying your DVD gate, installation, or any other service issues. He went above and beyond for me and I couldn't be any happier.
