it depends on where you live
I got a 500gb Seagate hdd from Walmart for 50 bucks or so (I'm in the US)
I'm in the US also. Do you know what the part # is of the Seagate you bought? I assume it works with the wii also?
Thanks!
yes, it works with the wii (uneek too) - it's on the usb compatibility list (link in my signature) as working
I think I got it on clearance or something...that's why it was cheaper. I got it in sometime early this year (January I think)
Here's a link to the one I have
it says it 84.99 so I guess I did get it on clearance
Im not so sure if you have to be so particular on the model number etc... of the drive. I have used several different drives, some companies I haven't even heard of and everyone worked. There are some better out there like Seagate and Western Digital but in the end they kind of all do the same job.

If you have a Fry's electronics store near you they usually have great deals on Hard drives I've got a 500gb for 39.99 and a 1.5tb for $79.99. They also have a website but it's better if you go to the store they usually have way better deals than online.
Also you should check out tiger direct if you're not from Miami you don't pay taxes and if you spend more than 80 or 100 bucks (I don't remember) you also get free shipping.
