I have a smart parts ion that i bought used and has maybe seen 3000 paintballs since i've had it. The gun has no major defects, scratches on the outside. The only problem it has is the qev leaks due to a busted oring. All you would need ot do is buy the right size and put some thread tape on it. Also the reg needs cleaned and lubed, I have no clue how to do it so i didn't want to mess with it. If you don't clean your reg regulary gun's psi drops every time you shoot it, but once you clean it, it works fine.
