I need a DVD drive that works with the D29 pro v2
I bought the Wasabi 2 chip because I had the UNmoddable DVD drive. Set it all up, and needless to say I had every problem in the book that everyone else has had using that chip. Then I had the bright idea that I would take the wii-clip off and then try and hard wire it in. NOT SO BRIGHT. DVD drive is now jacked up.

I am looking for a DVD drive that is not the latest version so I have the same problem. I am going to get a different chip. If you have one, message me. Let me know what you want for it.

I sell D2B replacement boards. I can stick on a wiikey for you. You can grab one of those and replace your messed up D2C2 board and use that.

When you say replacement board, what do you mean? Are you saying it is just a piece or a whole DVD player. I ask because, I am not sure there is saving the DVD player I have now. What would be your cost to do all that?

short of jamming something on the drive, the DVD part should be fine. The replacement board I am reffering to is the board where the modchip would to on.

I am sure the DVD drive is good, but you are right, the chip where the wii clip goes on is pretty bad. I dont know if you can just take that out and replace it or not. If so, we may still be in business. Lets assume that is all we had to do. What would you charge to fix it and put the new chip in?

no charge for installing the new board with the chip on it. Just send the drive to us and you will be up and running in no time.
