Wii Stuck on Preloader After Format
Hi everyone, thank you for dropping by.
I am completely new to Wii, and just obtained a unit from my friend. It is a Korean version. As a habit, I formatted the device after hooking it up. Then... boom! I was stuck in preloader interface. I am unaware that my friend had softmodded the device.
the preloader says IOS v30, Systemmenu v289, preloader 0.28
If i choose systemmenu it says "Error autobooting systemmenu! Ticket not found!"
If I choose homebrew channel it says Error autobooting HBC. maybe title not installed?
Following advice from another thread, I downloaded hackmii (hackmii_installer_v0.8.zip), but failed to understand the post, rather than loading it, I installed it from preloader, which seems succeeded. Realizing my fault, I loaded the file again, only to meet the exception occurred screen.
I restarted the unit and chose installed file, and mysteriously the hackmii installer started. I installed homebrew channel. It seems that a version of bootmii exists (an uninstall option presents) and for fear that my SD card is at fault (it was an unbranded product, the only non-SDHC card I have), I didn't take further action. I exited the installer and it seems that the homebrew channel started (with all the bubbles floating and a wi-fi disk flashing). I didn't know what to do and shut the device.
Turning on the device, I found myself at the same situation as before. Only that when I choose "installed file", I get the exception screen.
For fear that I exacerbate the situation, I decided to stop and look for help. Being a complete newbie, I am really afraid that I complete brick my device (I wish I had not, and it seems that I didn't) in the future.
I find that this forum is the most helpful place I can find, and I sincerely wish that you guys could help me out. Excuse my ignorant and hope you could give me as specific solution as possible.
