Semi-bricked Wii. NEED HELP!

The other day I bought a wii on ebay. The only problem I thought it would have is that the disc drive does not work. When it arrived, I could not access the settings menu (semi-brick). So, I tried to connect to the internet, it asks for a parental code. I contacted the seller and they gave me a list of combinations they think it could be. None of them worked. It appears to be on 4.1 as I can load the original bannerbomb's boot.dol. However, after this I only get a black screen. Using bannerbomb, I have been able to load MMM from the SD menu, but I'm not sure what I can do as I have no internet. Please Help

If you bannerbomb Multi Mod manager, you can install a patched ios36. Then have a look at the wii system info in MMM. Reload MMM ios to the patched ios, then have a look at the wii system information in MMM. It will tell you your console region, and your parental pin and secret. Then use MMM to install the system ios and menu matching the region of the wii, that will fix your semi brick.

The wii is a USA model on 4.1. But what is the "system ios"? You have been very helpful. Thank you.

System IOS for 4.1 would be IOS60 v6174.

I was able to successfully install and patch ios36 however i am now getting a (-1022) error when attempting to install IOS60 v6174.

Check the error index (link in my sig). It should have your answer there.

I looked at an error index and it says the 1022 error is this> "Wad Install Error: Content did not match hash in TMD" I am not sure what this means. I have downloaded the IOS's using nus multiple times however the error persists. I have also reformatted the sd card many times.

Also, I was wondering, what if i simply installed the 4.2u wii menu? Would that get rid of my settings problem or would that just fully brick it?
