Wii System memory full can't format

Sorry this is a double post originally posted it in the newbie section but was then told to post here.

Also just to preface this, I had previously hacked my wii and downloaded the homebrew channel, though I never downloaded any games and exclusively used it to allow me to use character skins in Brawl. I haven't used the homebrew channel in ages though and I believe it was erased in a system update. The update however was a while ago and I had played my wii a lot after it was removed without much problem except every now and again it would freeze though that was very rare.

My Wii has been acting strange as of late, whenever I turn it on, as soon as I get to the main menu it immediately pops up a screen that says "Wii system memory is full" I found this odd as the last time I checked I had 93 blocks left and I hadn't downloaded anything since I saw that, regardless I went to the data management screen to clear up some space, after deleting or moving many channels, I went back to the main menu only to find the same message. Confounded I began searching the internet for answers only to find some unpleasant news, most of the people who had similar problems ended up formatting their wii which solved the problem

Not enjoying the prospect of formatting my Wii I proceeded to delete/move more games in the vain hope that I would eventually fix the problem... I did not, I believe I made it worse. I tried moving my Yoshi's story channel from my wii to my SD card to save space, however after several attempts I noticed that it never moved. I thought I had finally found the culprit at last so I excitedly deleted yoshi's story, however my Wii had other plans. After waiting 10 minutes I began to suspect that something wasn't right, the wii was still attempting to erase the game, thinking this was odd I waited another hour to no avail the game was still not being deleted, so I made a terrible TERRIBLE decision and decided to pull the plug. Yes that was pretty retarded of me

So now we are at where I am currently at, in addition to the original problem now when I go to the data management menu and I click on channels it goes to the screen with all the channels data, but doesn't display any of the channels it just stops, it won't load, and when I try to go back to the main menu (The home button is the only one that seems to work when the wii is like this) the screen just turns black.

After doing more searching around the web I decided there was only one solution left, format my wii. So I did that, and three and a half hours later the wii was still formating. I knew this wasn't right so I again pulled the plug. It appears that this time pulling the plug did not do any damage but it didn't exactly help anything, the same problems that I mentioned before still persist and trying to format the wii again proves useless.

If anyone has had a similar problem or knows how to fix it please help.

Also I have heard many people suggest sending my Wii into Nintendo which I did consider but I ultimately outruled it because I don't have any money to pay for the repairs and i lack a warranty so that is a no go.

I've looked around the net a lot and found people with similar problems but they were all able to format their wii so yeah

And yet, you fail to address the questions asked of you where this originally was posted. How sad...

BootMii installed? If so, boot2 or IOS only? NAND backup? System Menu/region? Your post is incomplete in this regard.

Sorry was a little confused and am new to this forum, I thought the first paragraph answered the question my bad. I do not have Boot Mii installed and I have no files backed up really because I didn't have a reason to back them up. System Menu is latest which I believe to be 4.2 and the region is America, though I can't imagine that would matter considering I haven't downloaded any games with homebrew I just used it for Gecko OS to get the skins for Smash. I'm kind of new to this so forgive my ignorance if any of this doesn't make sense and or is ridiculous.

Seriously, I want you to think what you're asking of your fellow users, and then I want you to re-read this sentence above. The fail is strong...

=/ See what I'm asking is if anyone else has had this problem, I've looked around and it seems like people have but I haven't seen any fixes to it. I understand that to you guys a lot of what I'm saying is stupid and retarded and fail, I understand all that and I get it and I apologize for my ignorance. I don't see how which files I have backed up is relevant, even if I did back up my files than it still wouldn't matter because as previously mentioned I can't access the data management screen, looking back I realize that Boot Mii would help but I can't access that because I can't access the HomeBrew channel. I explained thoroughly what is wrong with the Wii and what the error is. All I did to alter my Wii was to apply the HomeBrew channel and Gecko OS that is all, that has been gone for months so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it (Though it probably does). If you could please specify what I need to know about the archaic machinations of the Wii, and how that knowledge will relate to helping my problem then please do. If you guys think my Wii is hopeless than just say so, if you think I need to supply you with more and information then I will. Also yes I am probably made of fail but there is nothing that can be done about my past incompetence.

I'm not sure how to fix it yet because I just had it happen to just to me needing to delete block that aren't freeing and not being able to access the boot menu but I do know if you hold down your reset button it will pop up a wii boot thing for homebrew that you can still access USB loader ect ect. I'll let you know if I figure it out or if you have figured it out can you tell us how cheers
