there is a nand file, a keys file and a bootmii folder on my sd card. Is that what i need? I don't remember making a backup, would it have done that automatically?

try renaming the bootmii folder on the sd to bootmii1 or something like that and power on again. If nothing changes power on yet again holding reset.

edit: you have bootmii as boot2 so you're fixable even if you don't have a nand backup, but we'll try the easy fixes first.

Neither of those things worked. Now that I changed the folder to bootmii1 I don't even see the bootmii screen on load up. Just black.

If u have no priiloader, I think restoring your nand would be the best option. Read the boot2 for beginners guide.

Naming your bootmii folder back from bootmii1 will bring back your bootmii menu when you start up. If you can't find your nand backup this might be worth a read as well:
