Well that much we agree on, as his was the first guide I followed when I got my system. It was actually hard for me to understand back then. How things change... lol

If that's an agreeable thing as you mention, please follow the advice. Maui's improved his guide (as you've surmised) to make it more user-friendly/noob-proof. The goal here is read it. You don't even entirely have to understand the underlying mechanics. But doing A, B, and C (metaphorically-speaking) one step at a time and exactly as described will get you there. Reading is mandatory before attempting (at least prior to each step).

EDIT: Updated IOS35 with DopMii and it works. Still can't pass a SysCheck without freezing but as far as I'm aware, everything is functional again.

Just so you are aware.. whatever IOS it is freezing on should be replaced.. I gave you the suggestion to re-softmod for various reasons.. There have been many updates in the last few months and many things have changed. Given your current situation running through the guide again would have proved useful regardless of if your wii was working or not. Updating your softmod will provide better compatibility with games and apps. It will also fix any of your broken IOS and cIOS.

If its working now I still urge you to consider updating your Maui softmod and making your wii current.

Did I come off like a jerk?? Read more here

I will look into it after I get some sleep. Also it's not as if I never kept the system up to date. I always updated all my IOS' via DopMii at least every couple of months. Having played games such as Metroid Other M and NSMBWii, I doubt I could have done much of anything had I not kept it up to date. I'll update as soon as I figure out how to remove the anti-update safeguards I put in a few years ago. LOL

Priiloader has been updated.. cIOUS have had major changes. and dop-mii might have created issues if you are having problems with your IOS's.. if you have a working HBC you dont need to update via nintento.. you just need to start the guide at "softmods with HBC"
