    Unhappy Wii Freezes on startup!

Hello, I don't know if this is the right section nor did I use search, because I'm so upset
I used the mauifrog softmod tutorial and installed everything about 6 months ago, and everything has worked well untill yesterday, when I unplugged the Wii. (I did it because a thunder storm). And this morning, when I started it everything went well untill just recently tonight, the Wii froze and started having a beeping noise, I restarted the Wii many times and unplugged it again and stuff. I tried everything, except uninstalling HBC, which I can't because it freezes. I don't think the thunder did it, because every computer and TV and other electronic device works fine :S
    Please help me!
If you need more info, ask!
    Thank you for your time

    /Fredu

EDIT: I have priiloader and I can boot HBC from it

Well it can be fixed. Getting into HBC and having priiloader/preloader is generaly a good thing.

How many times does the disc slot light as soon as you turn on the wii?

P.S: There can't be a disc in the drive

The disc slot lights once, with or without disc.

Ok you dont have bootmii as boot2.

Still you have priiloader. Can you connect your wii remotes to your wii or turn on the wii with wii remote?

I can turn on the Wii with the Wiimote, and I can turn it off if I'm in HBC or priiloader, aka the places that don't freeze.

Just read something from Maui that I was unware of. Might help you.

    You have two options.
1- go to the wii settings and format the wii. You will lose all savegames, HBC, other channels and they will need to be reinstalled.

2- You can try to fix the message board with this method. You won't lose any saves or channels, but all your messages and friends I believe. Download mailbox_brick_fix-det1re.zip and follow the directions in the zip.

Thanks! When I held + and - while pressing A, it booted the system menu, and didn't freeze!
Now I'll just have to try one of the two options. Which one do you guys recommend?
