    wii gets tons of error HELP!

    My sd card slot was broke so i opend it up and fixed it but to i put it back together corectly but ever sence i opend it after 2 mins of wii on my wii freezes and it ses please taake out your disk and refer to the manual or something like that i dont what i did but i followed a guide by highly trained profesionals any suggestions

    Got me, but this seems to be better suited in the bricked section of the forum since that's where most of our best hardware people hang out. I'm moving the thread there. Good luck! Wish I could help more.

    When does the wii freeze? Everywhere or only in some places? Does it freeze when just looking at the menu or only when you load stuff?

    It sounds like you didn't get the drive ribbon cable into place properly. Open it back up and check for proper connections.

    Well i broke my dvd drive so i took it out intell i could get a new working one i thought i could just use a usb loader intell i can get a new dvd drive.and it freezes at channels@ mauifrog. so idk do i need a new dvd drive for it to work. because i broke the ribbon cable clip and tape would work so i use glue and it ruined the dvd drive

    lol, I hate to ask how you got the triwing screws out so you could open up the Wii.

    A semi-working drive is required for most of your channels to work. That also includes any USB loader. You are SOL until you can replace the drive (if that is even possible at this point).

    yes i can and theres tons of versions of dvd drives do i have to get the newest version or can i get old version(because its cheaper). .o.

    I recommend you get an older one (non D3-2 or D4). That way you can use backup games on DVD-R's.

    How do ik its not d3-2 or d4. and btw my ribbon cable is broke. Is this the rite ribbon cable Wii DVD Drive Data Cable ? mine was silver with blue on ends this on it and this one is orange im just making sure this is right one.
