It sounds like you updated your SM IOS to a stubbed version. It also sounds like you have Bootmii installed as Boot2. If that is the case, your Wii can be fixed.

What system menu were you on? Answer that and I will provide you with a fix.

Okey. If you have boot2, you have some options. If you have a backup, you can go here and grab bootmii files. Place on newly formatted fat32 sd card (1 or 2 gig, sandisk preferred) along with nand backup. You can then restore from your backup. From there you can decide what you want to do with it, following the softmod any wii guide might be a good alternative. OR, if you dont have a backup (or even if you just want to try) you can follow the anywii guide in my signature. For chapter 1 use the Boot2/Bootmii option (under other desperate measures). Follow the whole guide start to finish, including system menu.

Once you get it working again the way you like it launch bootmii and make another backup. This way if anything happens again you can restore to that point.

    Good luck-

Follow the mod any wii guide. Click the + sign by Other Desperate Options and follow the boot2 instructions.

    Then follow rest of guide.
