    Semibricked Wii

Okay, here is the big thing, all I did was turn on WiiConnect24 and that did it. I CAN go into Wii Settings but trying to go into Data Management gets this error: "Your Wii System Files have been corrupted", and I can't open anything except for the Wii Menu and Settings.

I was a new Homebrew Channel user. My wii is over 2 years old but it was just new enough to where when I installed HBC I got "Bootmii can only be installed as an IOS". So I have NO bootmii. No Priiloader either, as I didn't learn about that until too late (yesterday).
BTW: I installed the HBC by using Smash Stack. I didn't do it too long ago.

I want to assume there is no real way to recover this Wii. But, is there? (I need to know in the next couple days, as I am going to try and get another Wii) Somebody has already told me making it Region Free should fix the problem, but I don't think I can go into HBC anyways and I don't think AnyRegionChanger works over 4.1.

This almost sounds as if you have a corrupt game save. Try holding " + ", " - " and then press " A " and the health and safety screen to launch maintenance mode and try to get into data management.

Man...why did I dismantle my wii setup, and THEN ask this? I may try this tomorrow if I have the energy to resetup my wii, otherwise, I'll just get another (I won't be getting a new one though).
But, once you go into Data Management, what are you supposed to do to reverse the Corrupt System Files problem? Are you supposed to remove HBC, and then copy your wii files to an SD card (That may be too late though, as somebody said that they did that before they were fully corrupted, and I think I'm fully corrupted)?

(Somebody had told me that not being able to load anything from the Wii Menu meant a semibrick)

A new problem for you, this wii WILL come up in Maintenance Mode, but without the pointer.

Edit: Nevermind, I didn't put in the Sensor Bar plug securely enough. About to try again.
Edit2: Can get into Data Management in this mode. I think I know why it messed up. I thought I had erased the Nintendo Channel, turns out I didn't and I think that is why I'm corrupted. Can you run everything in Maintenance Mode?

I'm about to say nevermind, as I need to figure out a fix to where I can play games online, since apparentally that mode disables the internet...
Its probably simple, but I haven't found anything on how to fix it.

And I've got nothing really. I've tried to search online for a fix with Wiis with HBC that have the Corrupted System Files problem but I've come up with nothing.

Really odd as to why, but the Wii is running fine now. Did I do anything? No....
Just no more WiiConnect24 for me. For some reason, I'm not corrupted now, but that was a big scare for me. Its also very possible that I'm not going to use the Homebrew Channel much anymore (When I rarely used it anyway).

I also do not understand why the wii always says "Perform system update now?" after every time you switch connections.

    Okay, I'm really confused now.
For some reason, taking the wii off of my wireless internet has fixed the problem. I have a theory that when I put it back on my wireless, it will be corrupted again. Am I right? Or is it just complete luck that I'm not corrupted now?

Its just wiiconnect24 that does it. Disable it fully, disable standby mode and never EVER accept any updates via nintendo.
