If the answer is no, I'll order a wifi module. If the answer is yes, I'll just order both the wifi and bluetooth modules, install the one that works and keep the other. If neither fixes my wii, I'll give them to whoever reprograms my nand.

I really see this being a full brick and would rather not wait weeks for shipping on a controller, then wifi module, then console. I'll also have access to a controller this weekend but would rather have the potential fix in the mail tomorrow.
Sorry, I don't know if the bad bt would give you "no signal" or not, defiantly a black screen but not sure about the "no signal". Someone will probably be able to confirm that for you though when they see this. Do whatever you think is best, all three parts are pretty cheap so you wont lose out much whichever road you take.

I'm pretty sure you can rule the bluetooth module out, I believe you wouldn't be able to turn on your Wii with a remote if it was bad.

Im gonna go with the A/V Encoder is bad! You can have a NAND Repair Guy fix it, but with the cost of the wii's so cheap it might be better to scrap it for parts and buy a new one

Thanks for the reply! I haven't bought any parts yet, so that was a saver.

    Thanks for the reply!

Yikes. Not good. I guess I'll have a go at replacing the wifi module and if it doesn't work I'll just scrap it. Any reason in particular you're ruling out the wifi module being bad or just a hunch?

I could be a WiFi module..... If you can turn your Wii on with the remote then it's not a bt module.

Thanks Krafter. I'll be getting my new wifi unit in the mail in a few days and I'll let you know how it turns out.

$40 + shipping seems fair to me since it comes with an extra wifi module. Any takers?
