Does your drive even have the capability to read backup discs?

To the best of my knowledge, it does. I'll check it again to make sure.

Put your serial number HERE to see what drive you have.

It is a gc2-d1a on the chip, but the site says gc2-d2e.

This may be a dumb question, but are you sure your wiikey is set to the correct region?

I have a Wasabi DX, and I remember I couldn't get it to work with a D1A drive. As soon as I switched drives, the DX worked. If you have a D1A drive, you could have the same issue. Thinking this should be moved to the bricked section though.

You have 2 threads going on about the same thing. Other one here. I see why you did it though as the original was 3 months old. FYI regardless of how old the thread is, we still see a new post pop up on it.

Hey bmarlo can you merge the two?

In your first post in this one you spoke of a burned disk, but in the other thread you spoke of using the netflix disc. Are you trying to use a burned netflix disc?

Merged the threads and moved to the bricked section.
    Thanks cjizzle.
@Villain Vivi, please don't make multiple threads on the same topic.

D1A is not a Wii drive type. you are looking at the wrong chip or reading the wrong part
