Wii keeps bricking after Netflix install

I have a 4.1U wii with Bootmii installed with a valid NAND backup on a SD card.

I have been upgrading the valid NAND to install Netflix. I have installed IOS58 to install the updated Shop Channel, then the updated Shop Channel, then install Netflix.

Then I had been installing various apps and tools which always ended up with a week or so later the Wii only displaying the Bootmii screen. If you try to boot the system I get nothing but a black screen.

I assumed it was something from the homebrew channel that was causing the problem.

So the last time I started over I just did the ios58, shop channel, and Netflix install. I figured leaving out the homebrew stuff would clear up the issue.

However a week or so later I have the same problem....
a Wii that just displays a black screen.

As I primarily use this Wii for Netflix this is an issue.

Does anyone have any ideas why this might be happening or how to fix it?

"Then I had been installing various apps and tools"

do you have priiloader installed? is it set to force black screen on boot? is it one of the apps you install?

I've been having the same problem as well. I do use usbloader gx to load games off of a hard drive as well. I never had a problem till i installed Netflix and use it constantly. I do use priiloader to block updates and force black screen so i should be fine there. I have had to reload my NAND twice now and i'm getting kind of sick of it already.

Not sure if this will help in the troubleshooting process, but before the WII bricked this last time, the power LED was orange and wouldn't power on by remote, this is when i tried numerous attempts to boot the system, but only way to fix it was with bootmii.

Turn off the force black screen in priiloader. with that turned on everytime you boot the machine it will look like a brick.

okay no bueno (good). after a week it still went into a full brick and needed a NAND flash. did everything i recommended and re did the soft mod to exactly as mentioned on the tutorials. anyone have any helpful ideas... i know the easy solution is just remove netflix, but i'm hoping this might strike someones curiosities or experiences.

oh one more huge additonal information!!! super critical!!! there was a 456 block size difference between the NAND backup i made after all the softmods (got lazy so figured to softmod it as i restore it, lol) and when i reflashed my NAND. That's a lot of data since i didn't add anything. maybe the Big 'N' are sending update data using netflix to mess up modded systems.

Unbrick your wii, then install this via wadmanger
NetFlixChannel-v1-USA.zip - Netflix, Wad, Wii, Download, Channel
See if that helps your issue.

If your wii bricks again, back a nand backup of the bricked wii. Then use Giantpunes nand.bin check app and see if it gives any clues. Or zip the bricked nand.bin and upload it, then post the link.
