    not trying to sound stupid or obvious, but make sure the disc is in the right way.

    when i put it in the wrong way mine gives that error most of the time.

    From what Streamline told me, since mine clicks three times whenever i put a disk in and it does not read, then yes a laser will fix it. If i misquoted you in someway streamline, im sorry. If you want, you can go to my profile and look at my visitor messages.

    So the error i got when i insert a disc, is a broken laser?
    So a broken laser cause this error?

    Yeah sounds like a bad laser pickup and to answer your question yes it will give you that error. When you insert a game does the disc spin up or do you just hear a series of clicks and the disc doesn't move?

    Yes, the disc is spinning.

    Try turnin the wii on with no disc in it

    Maybe your actual drive is broken. Just do some simple troubleshooting as cleaning the laser, getting rid of some dust, tightening some screws before we do anything drastic. Dont screw it in too tight that you strip the head.

    the laser is brand new according to his posts. shouldnt be dirty unless it was touched in the install procedure. can you verify if the disc is spinning you say it is spinning but do you know for sure? does it perhaps just sound like its spinning.
