    Any hope?
Sorry but no. That Wii is way to new.

I really don't understand how this happened with DOP-Mii. I hope that I am wrong with what I am telling you. Stand by and wait for someone else to chime in on it.

Could it have anything to do with the fact that I clicked option 1 on Dop-mii that says "IOS36".. and not the second option that says "Install IOS /w Fake Signature"?

Or do they do the same thing?

Also.. a tutorial implied that the wii should restart automatically after installation. When I ran it, it said Completed, nothing happened for a while, and I had to restart.

No it doesn't have anything to do with you selecting IOS36. That is how you get into the features of DOP-Mii.

Your second statement might have something to do with it though. What guide are you referring to (do not link if it's not one from here) and what were you installing?

It was a guide from lifehacker. Pretty generic steps though.. just downloaded the latest dop-mii, ran it from HBC. It was the first thing I did right after installing HBC with Smash Stack.

I was attempting to mod the Wii to allow playing backups from a USB drive. I still can't believe how my Wii is now basically bricked from such a safe seeming process..

EDIT: In case I've caused any confusion.. I was using the latest version of dop-mii which is DOP-Mii v15

Sounds exactly like the Dop-IOS Bug however I've never heard of this happening with DOP-Mii. I don't think I fully understand what you were installing from that menu. You say that you installed something and then you had to hard restart the Wii but you weren't installing IOS36 with fakesign because you can't install it from that menu. When you select that menu you get a list of other options such as IOS/Mios/BC, System Check, Boot2, System Menu, etc. which one of those options did you choose and what did you install exactly?

Try entering the system menu in maintenance mode (press and hold + - buttons on wiimote at health warning screen until system menu) and let us know if that gives you access to the channels.

To me it sounds like he is talking about the first thing dop-mii ask. "Which ios would you like to use to install other ios's."

Yes, but then it wouldn't ask him to fakesign IOS36.

I believe it was this option that I continued with.

I tried booting into maintenance mode, but all the channels still reset the wii when trying to load (except the disc channel which goes to black screen).

Try booting the wii and pressing home, then reload the system menu. Try going to the system settings, pressing home and reload the system menu. See if any of that will let your channels load.

I think this is a bug with the ABHPROT, there is issue with it reloading ios causing dsi crash, but for you it seams to have caused a similar issue as dop-ios 11.3-11.4.

I did see something with ABHPROT during the process..
I tried reloading the system menu from pressing home, but it appears to reset the wii same way as when I try loading a channel.
