Unhappy 4.3E Semi Brick I think

Hi guys I realy hope someone can help.

I have softmodded my wii using the indiana PWNS method and the following guide:

    FAIL LINK REMOVED

It is the second time I have used this guide, the first I had no problems. Like an idiot I failed to back up the nand (trying to be clever and forgot). Everything went fine even installed Dark wii theme, everything was working. I then used the following guide to install priiloader:

    PRIILOADER FAIL LINK REMOVED

As I was trying to install prii loader I was getting the following error:

Warning: /title/00000001/00000002/content/1000009b.app is reported as okb!
Ignore priiloader "installation if priiloader hasn't succesfully installed yet

    A = Yes B = No Home = Exit

after pressing A, it went straight back to the start menu.

I rebooted the wii holding reset to see if priiloader was installed, when I pressed system menu it brings up the following:

    Error autobooting systemmenu!
Could not get boot stats !

I then searched the forums and tried the dop-mii install IOS60-64-v6174, as to how I understood it, but when I tried to install the wad from sd it just keeps giving me the install wad from sd on another line.

I have tried to run a syscheck but it just keeps going to the dump!! error.

Now I am at a complete loss.

I am running 4.3E updated form nintendo online. IOS80 is the system menu I believe. Priiloader v0.3 on IOS v80.

    Other info:

My Wii remote works to turn the system on and off (Not sure if this is good or bad)
My blue light blinks once when I turn the wii on.

If you require any other information please ask.

Sorry to be a pain guys but any help would be realy appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Andy

That looks like a fail guide to me. Follow the softmod any wii guide on this forum, after you introduce yourself you will get a link, along with many others to help you.

Of course, any wiihacks guide doesn't mention installing a modified System Menu --- doing so without a NAND backup and without BootMii installed as boot2 is simply suicide --- we receive illustrations of this kind all of the time. I've removed your fail links; we do not support other sites' guides. Themes = high probability of brick, as you've discovered.

Question: do you even have BootMii installed (I don't care if you have a NAND backup or not) --- if it's not boot2, you're very likely "done" (meaning, very little that can rectify this situation you've put yourself into).

Hi sorry for putting the links up, on all other posts people have asked for the guide that they have followed which is why I put them on here. apologies once again. Just to clarify I have used that guide once before and it worked no problem. I was unable to install as a boot2 because of the serial number I believe. Bootmii is installed, I can still use and play games as normal if I load usbloadergx through priiloader and hbc. it just fails to boot the system menu and gives the following error message:

    Error autobooting systemmenu!
Could not get boot stats !

Hence I am sure it is only a partial brick. I know it was suicide not getting a nand backup as you so elequently put it lol.

I will also introduce myself, sorry for the ignorance lol.

Thanks for any further advice in advance.

    Andy

Might want to wait for a more experienced user to come along (mauifrog, BadAd84, streamlinehd, etc) on this. It does sound like there'd be hope since by description you're right that it's not a full brick. Never install a theme on an IOS-installed BootMii --- never.

Hey nightstah, although I won't be installing themes again, unless it is on boot2, I am pretty sure it was not this that has caused the problem. The wii was on with the theme and I had played a game with no issues. It was only once I had installed priiloader that the problem appeared.

You can just run your wii through my guide, just load the hackmii installer from priiloader. When your done your wii will be fixed.
