    system files are corrupted

    HI all

I have recently got hold of a wii that is bricked ... When you switch it on after the health and safety screen it says system files are corrupted ... I have checked if there is any brick protection like priiloader or bootmii and there is not ...

I can do the gamecube thing when the system menu is shown and it says

    ( 3.3E )

There is no Hardmod and bootfix disks dont seem to load up..

So Can I use a disk that has an update on it and repair this I was thinking maybe dj hero or GH 6

    thanks

Don't update you might make things worse! Look here and download one of the Autoboot Wad Manager ISO and see if you can get it to autoboot. If so, you will find yourself in wad manager which you can use to reinstall the SM.

As Krafter said, do not update. It's possible you have a banner brick and updating will just put you in a worse situation. If reinstalling the system menu and system menu IOS doesn't fix it, you will likely have to use the MMM250 disc and run anytitle deleter from app manager or you can reformat with the Official N recovery disc. All the information and downloads you need are in the thread linked above. Here's a link to the MMM250 disc as well. Good Luck!

    MMM-250.zip

Edit: Using the Netflix disc to reformat would also work. Try what Bad_Ad said below first as that will save you the hassle of making a recovery disc if maintenance mode works.

It depends on what softmod the Wii has (if any). If autoboot discs don't work you will need a modchip. You can try loading the Netflix disc from recovery mode. If that doesn't work you will need to get a modchip.

Make sure to burn the disc at 4x using imgburn on DVD-r media. I could be wrong but I don't believe the partition on the Netflix disc is altered so it should work if you have a drive capable of reading backups. Not at my computer so I can't check this ATM. Either way, it's worth a try.

Oh crap. You're right no netflix for pal. Sounds like you're out of options without a modchip.
