    Bricked after using MMM

I have caused a brick of my wii after upgrading some IOS's using MMM.

I have read a number of the forum topics around bricks and issues with no video displaying when wiis are switched on but can't work out where my issue lies so thought I'd post this.

I can turn my Wii on using a wiimote it flashes blue once then quickly twice. If I have no SD card in then it dies however it does power off using the power button. If I have my SD card in then Bootmii kicks in and I can get the bootmii menu up. I'm thinking I must be able to run something of the SD card to correct my software issues but don't know where to begin.

According to the info option under Bootmii I am using 4.2E boot1b boot2v4.

    Please can someone help?!?!

You should be able to access HBC through bootmii and fix whatever is wrong. You have bootmii/boot2. Try to run a syscheck.

    Good advice.

What was you doing in MMM. There's not very many things that you can do to cause a full brick. Was you installing a System Menu or a System Menu IOS?

I thought I was upgrading to newer versions of some IOS's I softmodded my Wii ages ago and some of the newer games weren't working Glee kareoke for example. I had read somewhere that this was a version issue on an IOS. MMM was new to me but it seemed to be telling me a lot of IOSs were old versions. I thought I'd avoided any system menu upgrades and any Korean ones (as I'm UK).

OK, do this. This will reinstall your SM IOS and hopefully fix your Wii.

    SM IOS cBoot2 fix
    1. Download this and unpack it to your SD card.
    2. Place SD card in your Wii and boot.
    3. MMM will start via cBoot2
    4. Scroll down to "Load another IOS" and press A.
    5. Choose IOS249 and press A.
    6. Scroll up to "Wad Manager" and press A.
    7. Press 1 to install all wads and then press A.
    8. Let it finish and reboot when done

You are almost my new best friend - it kind of worked.

    1. I copied all the contents of my SD card into a folder called OLD (not sure if I was meant to do this but as I already had some of the folders in your pack I thought it best)
    2. I copied the contents of your pack onto the SD card
    3. Put it in the Wii and turned it on
    4. got a message about loading cboot2
    5. got the nintendo startup screen.
    6. pressed A.
    7. it loaded my actual wii menu system as it should be.

points 3 onwards in your instructions didn't happen but the wii is on

    any more ideas??

Very strange. MMM should have started since you have Boomii/Boot2.

Can you get into your SM without the SD card in?

No I just tried it again.

without the SD card the drive light flashes blue couple of times then nothing.

With SD card it boots up normally except for the Cboot2 dol loading message.
