    Quick Question

So I have my lovely white brick sitting here and I have gone through all possible soft solutions. Even full nand restore with bootmii/boot2 did nothing. No matter what, I can only boot to a black screen.

I just now used savemiifrii and got my 4.2(US) to show up in the bottom, but nothing happens afterwords (I don't know, I was expecting something more climactic after all the work I did taking apart the controller).

I have deemed the problem to be a hardware failure and I'm leaning towards it's the wifi module since I can start up the wii with a wii-mote (just not sync them to it).

Any couple cents someone wants to throw in before I take the plunge and start searching for a replacement? What do you all think?

I'm not a hardware guy, but a few questions just to clarify would be: What was the last thing you were doing before it died?
When you power on does your dvd light flash once, or twice quickly?

If you have bootmii as boot2 and can't access that with a nand then it could very well be hardware. SS2 has a guide in this bricked section on restoring with boot2 and no nand backup. Check that out and hopefully if it is hardware it can be pinpointed. Good luck!

You don't have a bad wifi module. Did you uninstall your system menu? If you did, you will have to fix your settings.txt

flashes once when button is pressed, .75 second pause, then two quick flashes (almost didn't notice it was two it was so fast)

And just to clarify, I can access bootmii perfectly fine and have already tried both a nand restore from a backup I know worked and have tried formatting and reinstalling with 3.2, 3.3 and 4.2 multiple times with multiple formatters. (one of them let me keep my current settings.txt)

Currently it's back to my nand backup of 4.2U.

There are only two settings.txt NTSC & PAL Edit: (See Bad_Ad84's answer below).

@OP You don't have a bad wifi module because you wouldn't be able to access recovery mode if you did. I have a feeling you deleted or corrupted your settings.txt

    Try this...

    Download CB2_BB_System-Settings-Replace_MOD.zip

Extract Contents to freshly formatted SD card
Copy the NTSC settings text from the NTSC folder to the root of your SD card
Insert SD card in Wii and power on
The Settings replacement Mod App will start via CB2
Use a GC Controller and follow the prompts to replace the settings.txt

    Let us know your results.

Dont apply NTSC USA onto NTSC Jap, you will mess up your game region.

Create your own setting.txt using the editor:

    SettingEdit.rar

    edit:
when asked to encrypt it, say YES as this is the format the Wii expects it in.

Replacing the setting.txt had no visible effect.

Are you sure you setup the settings.txt correctly? Use this guide as a reference. You may have to follow that guide before it's over with but don't try it yet.

Changing the setting.txt to include my region settings and serno didn't have any effects either. Or was I supposed to take something else from that guide?
