    Wink Wii is ALIVE!

Decided to take another stab at this thingy......
Ran the files suggested by streamlinehd.... did all that was suggested, except (again) i couldnt reinstall priiloader as suggested. Did a system reboot and......nothing. Same ole blank black screen of death.
Decided to try MauiFrog's softmod tutorial starting with chapter 2. (Cant load a game to run the SSBB exploit from chapter1). Did a system reboot ...... i see the black hole of death.
Decided what the heck..... 3rd times the charm.... followed streamlinehd's instuctions (with the exception of reinstalling priiloader). Did a sys reboot.....OMG i see the health warning message.
Pressed A.... and i get to the sys menu, hbc, usb loaders, etc.
Not sure what exactly fixed the issue but I sure am glad its now functional. I gotta give major props to streamlinehd all all those modders/programmers on this site.

Now the big question is..... how do i ensure all my files are loaded properly? And how to remove USB loader gx? (saw in another thread that it's been a common theme in bricked wiis)

    ==========================================
    Original post:
    1. downloaded linked zip file 2. formatted SD card 3. unzipped file directly to SD card 4. installed SD card into wii 5. powered on wii while holding down reset button, which got me to the priiloader menu
    6. selected load/install file from priiloader menu 7. loaded boot.dol file 8. selected wad manager and installed all wads 9. all wads successfully installed 10. at MMM main menu, selected app manager

instructions were to select priiloader to reinstall it, however, priiloader was not available as an option. the only app available was the 'hackmii_installer_v0.8'.
i selected this app and options were to install homebrew and bootmii. i exited without reinstalling because this was not part of the instructions i received.
as instructed, i did a new NAND backup to the SD. I copied the new NAND back up to my PC for safe keeping.
rebooted the wii and.......black screen... no menus still.

    what can i try next?

Priiloader is included in the fix I posted so not sure why you couldn't get to it from MMM. You also said that the only thing in App Manager was the Hackmii installer? The Hackmii installer wasn't in the pack so it sounds like you didn't format your SD card as I suggested (your apps folder wasn't setup properly). Sounds like you're back up and running regardless so that's good news! If you followed Mauifrog's guide, your Wii is setup correctly so there's no need to do anything else.

I do recommend removing USB LoaderGX. Can't say this was the cause of your issue however it's better to be safe and use CFG or Wiiflow instead.

@streamlinehd... I did format my sd card. But after much thought... Instead of unzipping the file from your post, I had unzipped another file which has a similar name...mmm-51-61.zip. I downloaded this file (from mauifrog's guide) in an attempt to reinstall hbc. The guide said to skip the install of the wads, which I did. Last night however, I installed the wad. Not sure if this helped resolve my issue but it seems all is well.
To remove GX.... I simply remove it from my sd: apps folder? And delete the GX channel?

@look2000... I'm still a noob with all this mod thingy. When you say 'not run it as wad'... Does this mean don't run it via a channel? Also run what via hbc?.....
