    Ok, thanks.
I was thought that reading/writing nand on wii is the same procedure like the xbox nand because on xbox it can be done with infectus also.

I'll buy an Infectus 2 and try to recover the wii.
Hope it works with my nand backup, because it seems is not suporting boot2 .

Infectus connects direct to the NAND chip
Xbox flasher uses SPI (which means the xbox is at least handling some of the communicate to the chip)

This is a great guide. Very well written, and easy to understand. I had a couple a couple of minor hangups. (one with the wiring diagram that was an easy fix with help provided, and the other problem was I did not know the TSOP adapter had a locking mechanism to secure good connection with the Nand) haha..I figured that out by accident.

In the end I did get everything worked. I recovered the Wii console that was in question!

Just wanted to say thanks again for this guide. (I tried to donate but the link was not working!I'll try again though.)

Hi, one question, is there, hopefully any other way to extract keys from a bricked wii?
I read here, Wii NAND Extractor - GBAtemp.net
I'm thinking extracting from nand is out of the question since it's not there (or is it?).

aaand, I have this bricked wii that (from what they claim it to be), powered off/unplugged while updating.
savemiifrii doesn't work, (I can't attest, cos weird that I tried doing the savemiifrii on a WORKING wii 'with bootmii at boot2' and nothing happens/ or does that only work on fxored wii's?)

    TIA

There's no way to extract the keys from your Wii sorry . The keys can not be extracted from the nand. BTW if savemiifrii doesn't work on a functional console then you didn't make the savemiifrii correctly.

ohhh I see, I hope someone finds a way to get the keys, because, I think that's all we need to totally rule out bricked wiis!

about savemiifrii, hmm I tried a madcatz, and original gc control, maybe I'm doing something wrong.
you're sure that it will work on non fxored wii's?

    Thanks. will update. Thank you.
