    Question No Video output

Hi guys, I softmodded my 4.3E black wii using the tutorial on this website. I used usbloader gx for a while to load iso's from my FAT drive. Every once in a while a game would not load and cause a black screen (not always the same game, ceveral iso's I guess, not sure which ones). Whenever I had a black screen I simply power on/off the wii and it would 'solve' the issue. I could now load the game and play.
Now my girl had a black screen when booting big brain academy and did get a black screen. She forgot about it and left the wii on for several hours. Then she did reset and the wii would start again. She started the game again and black screen again. Now the next pwron/pwroff did not do anything. The system was bricked.
I'm affraid its totally bricked and I'm calling nintendo later today (the wii under warranty, i hope).
Now I'm trying to find out what caused the brick, because I would like to hack it again when it gets returned. I'm using a WD hard drive (not one from the compatibility list) and an unbranded SD card to run de loader from.
Any idea what could cause such a brick? All ideas are welcome.

I installed priiloader, but I can not load it. I also tried savemiifrii, but nothing.
One question, about savemiifrii, do I need to use a cd in my drive or application on SD or anything to see if it works? I just connected my controller and pressed all 4 keys and I saw noting on my screen.

Anyone has an idea what could have gone wrong?

Nintendo may not honor your warranty if they find mods on it.

Does the power light still come on, but then no video output?

Is there any sound or is it completely dead?

Your warranty could be VOID since you have soft modded.........

Nintendo will charge you for the repair since you have exploits on it!!

Did you have and boot2 or IOS Bootmii and did you make a NAND backup or have the KEYS.bin

With Savemiifrii you will see the sysmenu on the bottom right corner and you have to put a game in with a higher update then what you have on the wii... so if you 4.1 then you would use M.O.M and take the 4.3 update and that should work, but you would need to re-hack to 4.3... but sometimes with certain bricks this does not work!

Take out the SD and unplug all USB and try to boot, and also try to get to priiloader with out SD or USB in!!!

I do realise that my warranty may be void, I'm just hoping it's not.x

I have a NAND backup, but since I can not enter any type of menu I'm affraid that's not going to work.
I downgraded to 4.1 using the 4.3 softmod guide.
When the power light comes up, dvd spins and then it's over. No image or sound. And the remote does not connect either.
I don't have boot2, it was not available for my wii. I ran bootmii from the hbc to install stuff.
When I'm trying to do the savemiifrii, I don't see anyting on the right corner.

Any other ideas or clues what could have caused this? (And how to fix?)

You warranty IS VOID!!!!! There is no way that N will fix it with out a charge!!!

You can have a NAND programmer reprogram your NAND backup into your wii..... Not saying that it is the prob as you might have a bad BT module, but unless you take it apart you will not be able to tell!!!

If I'm not mistaking, a bad BT will make the Wii load to a "Black screen" and not a "no signal" screen. You can verify that by trying SaveMiiFrii but I have my doubts it will work. It sounds like your System IOS is corrupt.

I may have read between the lines on this but I just found where the OP said that SaveMiiFrii didn't work.

@OP did you take the GC apart so you could depress all four buttons on the D-pad at the same time? There is a piece of plastic that prevents that and the controller needs to be disassembled. You can just press and hold down on the rubber pad that is underneath the D-Pad as you boot.

Yes, I did. I tried it on the 4th and 1st controller port

I'm not sure if the screen is black or has no signal. my tv does not tell. any other way to find that out? when i power the wii up I get a very shot 'blink' on the screen and then it's over.
I can also start the system with my remote control, but it never connects after that.

If I would reflash the nand where do I get started? I've tried searching for some nand flashers, but it seems they're hard to find.
I'm also willing to pay for that if anyone in belgium or the netherlands would be able to do that. But I couldn't really find anything on my first google search. I'de rather not send the unit too far from my home.

Do I have any other options?
