If you took apart there is no way to test.... you would have to buy one and install it and go from there.....

Bluetooth (based on the symptoms); and if that's a launch Wii, it's Boot2-capable (though it sounds like you've not exploited this feature).

VERY SORRY - I just tested again, and Wiimote does power on the device, it just doesn't stay connected. Wii does not make any mechanical sounds what so ever (disc drive, etc.), the light just turns from red to green and the blue disc LED light turns on and stays on.

If the blue LED stays on around the drive, then something is quite wrong.

This suggests a serious hardware problem or boot2 has been corrupted. I would take apart the Wii and disconnect all modules and DVD drive and try to power just the motherboard. If the LED stays solid Blue, you have problems.

What is the serial number of the Wii?

Could it be two seperate issues? I only ask because I was getting a no video signal before the disc drive stopped ejecting/starting having a constant blue light. That started happening after I kept on messing with the Wii when I first intially started getting the no video signal.

Am @ work right now, I will log on and provide the serial number once I get home.
