You guessed it, bricked a wii, help please!

Alright so i was following a foolish youtube tutorial EXTERNAL LINK REMOVED and installed homebrew using smash stack on my wii v 4.3u. doing this i believe i violated this rule as posted by mauifrog here while installing cIOS36rev10 installler:

Never downgrade ios files of newer wii's
Newer wii's will not function with many downgraded ios files. Downgrading your ios files to enable trucha bug could cause many black screens or worse, brick your wii.
Example- Downgrading Ios36 to Ios36-v1042 will cause most Homebrew to load to black screens on newer wii's
Use TBR, or Dop-Ios-Mod to enable trucha bug instead

So, my screen turned black and wii remote unsynced. How big of an alert is this and how would i fix it. have never installed anything on my wii but nintendo updates and the homebrew channel. never installed bootmii or anything else. i just went straight to installing the cIOS without ever softmodding my wii in any other way. (besides using smash stack to install homebrew) I've looked through some of the threads on this site and cant seem to find any good answer. maybe im just not looking in the right places.

    Anyone please help me.

Are you getting a black screen when you boot your Wii or just when in HBC? I don't see how downgrading a "cIOS" would cause a brick. an official "IOS" maybe but a "cIOS" not likely but I've seen stranger things happen.

Ok my bad. I got a black screen when i tried to install this and tried pushing the power button again but it was still black because my brother pulled the power chord out. After plugging it back in it works fine again. guess it wasn't a brick sorry.
