I may have bricked my Wii need help please!!

okay I may hve some form of bricked my Wii, because i get this screen no matter what I do, I can't get a syscheck or even do anything on my Wii besides turning it on

now the question I have, when I soft modded my Wii I made the backup like the tut said so I should be safe here is the question I have because the tut on this part is vague:

here is what the tut says to do and here is the tut I used to Mod my Wii:
    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...y-4-2-wii.html

    it says:
If you were to ever brick, just copy the bootmii folder and 'NAND.bin' from your PC onto the root of your SD Card. Then repeat parts a, b & c but this time selecting the icon that points to the chip. While bootmii/boot2 can save you from full bricks, bootmii/IOS cannot! It is not recommended to use bootmii as an IOS to restore your NAND!
now do I have the bootmii and nand on a card all alone or do i have it on there with other files? what do I do exactly to restore my Wii so I can start over?

thanks for any help been trying to fix this for 3 days but seems my other post died. thanks again

You are allowed to have to have them on the card with other files but they need to be in the original location on the SD card which is the root directory. Thats not a brick merely a code dump are aside from SysCheck are you able to run any other applications like CFGUSBLoader or anything?

That's a DSI exception, not necessarily a brick in the traditional sense. Moved to the bricked section of the site. You might want to mention if BootMii is installed as boot2 or IOS. Don't restore if only the latter. Do you have Priiloader installed?

Perhaps, but double posting will not help you at all. Please read the forum rules about posting.

If you had Boot2 then your Wii should boot into Bootmii if you have the bootmii folder on your SD card. The drive light will also flash twice if installed as boot2.

    sorry about the double post.

so from what I understand is I just put the bootmii folder and nand file on the root of the sd card and start my WII and follow the instrutions I have from the tut?

You would select the icon with the arrow pointing from the SD card instead of pointing to it to restore.

That being said, I'm not sure it would fix your problem. Can you play games from the Disk Channel? Can you get into the Mii Channel?

okay I have made some progress, I have noticed when I take the sd card out and turn the wii on everything runs fine except the games don't have any cover art but they do play fine from the HDD, I was under the impression that the sd card had to be in at all times for the games to work?

so I supposed the cover art is stored on the sd card?

, and I now know the problem causing the error is located on the sd card? what do I do now?

Seems likely that you would need to manually delete the cover art via the pc. Then use the loader to try and redownload the cover art.
