    Angry Wii will not boot

I was following this guide http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-gu...der-gx-11.html when I went to save the config file the wii locked up. I could only power down the box. When trying to restart the wii it would no longer load The TV does not detect a singal from the wii.

    I have the following symptoms,

    1. Pressing power will change the LED from Red to Green and the drive bay will flash once
    2. I can power the Wii from the Wiimote, but then the four controler LEDs flash and then shut off.
    3. I can not get to my priiLoader by pressing power while holding reset
    4. BootMii will not load from SD card
    5. Wii will still eject disk

    attempted solutions

    1. leaving unpluged for 15 min
    2. loading other bootmii

I am using a 4.3u and followed the http://www.wiihacks.com/tutorial-arc...mod-guide.html for moding.

This is the second one in two days to brick with USB Loader GX.

@OP: Your only option is to have someone flash your nand backup into your Wii. There are a few around here that can do that for you for a small fee.

Sorry but GX has been bricking Wii's here lately. I am very surprised that it is even still available for download.

You can't necessarily attribute that to USB Loader GX. This user for one used an outmoded softmod guide from the archives, rather than the current 4.3 guide; if he's doing that, should make you wonder what else he did/didn't do. If you couple that with this being a new user, there are equal odds it was user error as brick issue strictly relating to USB Loader GX.

True, but it's the same story over and over again with GX.

Nothing has directly tied/proven/linked to USB Loader GX. Is it possible it played a role? Sure; do we know this, no we don't. About in every case I've seen recently, it's been a new user (the same folks who routinely fail to fully follow a given guide correctly on all steps). I'm not saying you're wrong, but keep in mind we never even usually learn what version a user is using (the old developer/new developer ones --- the latter which are quite buggy). I use it without issue, but it's an older version from the original developer (never saw a reason to upgrade it; if it's not broke, don't fix it right?)

I'm just going by my gut on this one I guess but the end result and solution is still the same. The OP has a full brick. No Priiloader or Boot2. The only option is to have it flashed.

I certainly won't argue the bottom line here --- you are correct on that without a doubt.

    crispy281,

Can you tell me what version of GX you used? Was it a channel install or a forwarder?
