    2. Move the backup from your SD card to a safe place.
    3. Place the backup in question along with the Bootmii folder onto your SD card.
    4. try to install the backup via Bootmii. If it loads it is your but if not then it belongs to a different Wii.
    5. If it loaded then simply restore your system using the backup in step 1.

    I'd suggest doing this:

    • Take a backup of your Wii
    • Open keys.bin from both dumps
    • compare console ID

i was thinking theme brick, but shouldn't i be getting some back ground noise at least, this thing does nothing at all, just that screen with pink and green stripes, why isn't it loading bootmii though?? it was in as bootmi v3 i think not sure tho
managed to get hold of 2 recovery disc's??? mmm-250 and wad manager auto recovery??? do they go on - cdrom or dvd-r??? there only 600mb each...

so the gc controller goes in port 4, with all 4 directions of dpad pushed at once??? then what??? do i insert the disc 1st???

Check out this post on SaveMiiFrii

why isn't it loading bootmii though?? it was in as bootmi v3 i think not sure tho
According to the Hackmii report you posted, this Wii isn't boot2 Bootmii capable and it could only be installed as IOS. To run Bootmii from IOS you need to have a functional system menu which you do not so Bootmii won't work.

managed to get hold of 2 recovery disc's??? mmm-250 and wad manager auto recovery??? do they go on - cdrom or dvd-r??? there only 600mb each...
They need to be burned slowly at 4X or less with IMGBURN on a DVD-R disc. If the Wii has cioscorp or a modchip, those recovery discs should autoboot without needing savemiifrii. Just turn on the Wii, insert the disc, and wait to see if it loads.

Using Savemiifrii will tell us if this is indeed a theme brick because you will be able to enter recovery mode if it is. If you aren't able to run the recovery discs but can access recovery mode with savemiifrii, you can install an update from an official game disc with the 4.2 update on it. To do this you would enter recovery mode with savemiifrii and then insert the game disc with the update. You will see the system menu version change from 4.1 to 4.2 when the update completes.

First let me know if you have any luck loading the recovery discs. If you're able to load them I'll tell you what to do from there. You don't need anything on your sd card for the recovery discs to load.

Okay you will have to make a Savemiifii and let me know if you can access recovery mode before we can try anything else.

Are you doing so and holding it while you power on your wii?
