This is Max's brother posting for him, he's busy with other things and has left it upon me to try to figure this out. He says that bootmii and preloader are on the SD card, but neither will work on startup. As previously mentioned, the wii can still be powered on with the wiimote, but will not remain synced. This is what the SD card looks like at root: http://i.imgur.com/rRhiD.png

If all you get is a black screen when powered on then you have a full brick. The only hope for your brothers Wii is to have someone to flash the NAND backup into the Wii which requires specialty hardware. The is no other option without Priiloader or Bootmii.

I'm guessing it will but try turning on the Wii with the remote. The reason fir this is to check the bluetooth module. if bad, it will cause a black screen. But since the Wii is so new and it happened while uninstalling stuff it is highly unlikely that there is a bad bluetooth.

The bluetooth module is fine, that was the very first thing checked. It certainly appears to be a full brick.

Do you think it would be worth it to try and contact Nintendo? If not, what are my other options?

Your taking a risk by contacting Nintendo. If they detect any trace of a mod on it then they will charge an arm and a leg to have it fixed. If you want it fixed then myself or Streamlinehd can do it for you. PM either him or I to talk details.

I would take it back to the store and tell them you hooked it up x-mas morning and the stupid thing wouldn't turn on. and you would like to exchange it for one that works.

    Same here.

You mod it, you break it and now it's your paperweight.
