4.3U Wii black screen no modifications recently

    Ok I'm running
    Softmodded Wii using http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...mod-guide.html
    4.3U menu
Bootmii as IOS (red wii, boot2 option not available)

We have not made any recent changes. Since the mod we have successfully played many games through USB loading on an external HD. My brother was playing a game through USB GX and turned the game off. He turned it back on, loaded GX and loaded the backup of Fire Emblem Radiant dawn to get a black screen (first time this happened.) He turned the Wii off and when he turned it back on we got a black screen, which flickers indicating we are getting a video signal.

We can turn the Wii on using a remote.

Have the YuGiOh game currently and SmashBros save, if that is any help.

We cannot access priiloader by holding reset and turning the power on. This is also a first.

We're at a loss. Are there any courses of action we can take to try to remedy this?

Your not going to like this, but your fully bricked. Send your wii to deadlyfloez, bad-ad84, or streamlinehd with your nand backup, they can fix it for you.

Thanks for the quick response. Just curious though, do you have any idea how this may have happened?

Also, is there a thread with contact information for any of these members or do I send them a PM?

I don't really know what caused your brick, but I suspect it is related to usbloader gx and suggest using cfg usbloader in the future. Bad-ad84 and streamlinehd can be pm'd here, deadlyfoez can be reached at deadlyfoez at yahoo dot com.

Lots and lots of "using USBloader GX then bricked" bricks recently.

Starting to think guides for it should be pulled from wiihacks.

Yeah, I still haven't been able to get to the bottom of it. So far everyone with a similar story ends up having a corrupt system menu however everything else on the NAND seems to be fine

Edit: ...and I forgot to mention, its always been USB Loader GX mentioned as the loader being used before the brick.

So did mauifrog. I was just confirming that I've never personally had someone mention this problem with any other loader.

I agree that USB loader GX is somehow the culprit.
