it's a copy of the files on the system at the time of backup.
You'll need the keys.bin too to restore...
Far as I can tell/know, you'll just have to reinstall the system menu and system menu ios, and then the wii menu will work
If you want, you can restore to the nand.bin,
but it's up to you
the keys file is only 1 kb. DO NOT START OVER AGAIN*! it will turn your half brick to a full brick.
*by this i mean make it a virgin then rehack it. what he said was to reinstall system menu and your IOS's and that might work
I would just reinstall the system menu and system menu ios if need be
there's no point in virginizing then resoftmodding as you can just overwrite what's installed
the keys.bin size is right
after you get the wii up and running, run a syscheck (link in my signature) to see what's installed
just have to be 100% sure here, i follow that link you posted earlier? it said:
"This is a for people who have a fully bricked wi with bootmii/boot2 installed but no Nand Backup. This is a rare situation but the solution is simple. Since Loading Homebrew Channel would give you a black screen, you'll need to follow these steps."
but its the system channel i cannot enter, but guess it doesn't matter? sorry for being "slow" but don't want to make any mistakes here!
well, since you can get to the hbc, you can load dop-mii and install system menu 4.1 and ios60 there
hang on, I'll create a pack for you

dop-mii shows up, select ios36, then system menu, and install 4.1e (you already have the required system menu ios)
