As mauifrog said you will need a way to autoboot the game such as with a modchip or cioscorp. If the Wii happens to have cioscorp installed you can patch the game to autoboot with a program called Wii Bootme. If no cioscorp, you can autoboot a retail game with a modchip set to autoboot.

Read up on the twilight hack and use that to install and load HBC. If you're able to get this far you can use any title deleter to delete the bad channel or there may even be a way to load the Official Wii recovery disc or mauifrog's MMM250 disc from HBC.

You can load a retail zelda and see if you have Twilight hack installed. Otherwise, you need a modchip. You have a banner brick and must uninstall the bad wad. Whatever you do, do not update the wii.
I have been reading up on the twillight hack because I have rented the retail version of Zelda, but if I can't get to the WII options /data manaagement section how can I save and erase my game data any Ideas

If the twilight hack was all ready used to hack the wii it may still be present. This is why mauifrog said you would be lucky if the exploit was installed.

Ok I have reading a lot I haven't seen anyone that is the same all close but different. I have tied to push the reset buttons. no luck, tried mmm250 and just about every other thing from uudv2,3,1 none will auto boot. All retail games will autoboot and can be played. Have Zelda but can't get in to Wii menu to do save part to sd card for the hack, although I can same the game as I go in the game its self. Have looked in to the wasabidx chip but they can't say it'll work for sure and at 65 to part and 80 installed part I might just better off buy a used wii. I have a rented copy of SSBB which I believe is retail version so my understanding is it has some kind of update on it.

Can I get to the upda.te part of the game with out having access to the wii menu. Do you know if it is possible to get to the update given when the wii autoboots the game it goesto the game itself and not the wii menu. I don'tcare about the moding anymore just what to get it working a can so can upate for net flix.

    thanks

Yes there is a solution, which one you should use depends. Probably best to start a new thread with all the, details you know of the wii. If your like the op in this thread you will need a modchip and need to run a burned dics, a recovery disc if possible of ssbb smash stack. Once you can load apps you can fix the issue, whatever that may be. If it is a bannerbrick that would be to uninstall the channel with the bad banner.
