You have a full brick and savemiifrii won't help. The only chance you have of getting this fixed is if you have a boot2 Bootmii compatible Wii.

How do I find that out? Should I just try the method and see how it goes?

You can try savemiifii however, it requires a functional system menu to work. In this case, you installed Priiloader which attaches to your system menu. Now you have a black screen and can't access Priiloader. This means you have a full brick (bricked system menu) which can't be fixed with Savemiifrii. Sorry to say this but it sounds like your SOL without a NAND backup or at least your keys. If the Wii is only a year old it's not boot2 Bootmii compatible.

What did you exactly mean with the first sentence? Do I need another wii to fix this?(because I have)
