As Bad_Ad84 said, it's either a full brick (system menu issue) or hardware issue such as a bad wi-fi module. These things happen and it's quite common to run into issues like this with electronics. It's hard to tell you exactly what the problem is without properly testing and ruling out certain possibilities. If you're capable of taking your console apart and swapping out the Wi-Fi module with a working one that would be a good place to start.

Here's a guide on disassembling your Wii. You will have to go a little further and remove some of the screws from the metal shield covering the motherboard to get to the Wi-Fi module. The Wi-Fi module is the larger module that has two antennas going to it and it's located opposite of the GameCube controller ports.

Thank you! Would you also happen to know a good place to get a working wifi module? I know i can check ebay, but would you have a recommended one?
