Latest update in my efforts to save my beloved wii.

    1) Bought a new wii branded sandisk sd card 2gb.
    2) copied my bootmii backup and my nand and key backups
    3) attempted to do another nand restore, succeeded same thing didnt make any difference
    4) tried to use bootmini.elf same thing not showing up in my directory listing

I spent a little while (all last night) forum diving and saw something mention system menu 3.2 update upgrading boot2 to v4 which my info screen is showing. Is it possible my roommate updating my wii overwrote my bootmii in boot2 partially rendering it useful enough to give me a menu, but useless enough to not be able to execute anything from it? I may just be grasping at straws here but i cant seem to execute any elf file on my sd card except ppcboot.elf which of course just boots bootmii again. I'm going to try grabbing a fresh copy of the bootmii files from the forum for my sd card and seeing if it makes any difference, maybe my backup of them is corrupt?

Try to format the card with this app
    sdfv2003.exe
Then copy the bootmii folder back to the sd card and the bootmini.elf to sd:\

If Boot2 V4 is installed, it'd require you to reinstall BootMii/boot2 via HackMii installer. Meaning, if you have BootMii/boot2 prior and this got updated, it removed boot2 (but this can be restored either by re-running said installer or a NAND programmer like Bad_Ad84, DeadlyFoez, Streamlinehd, or Erikie could do it for you).

So how do i successfully execute the Hackmii installer from the bootmii menu? Is that possible at this point? Every time i try to execute bootmini.elf it locks up at a green screen, I'm assuming this is because my boot2 was overwritten. Are there any other methods I could try to get hackmii running or am I pretty much stuck doing low level NAND reprogramming.

If you can't run code and you've tried Maui's suggestion (and if this was a boot2-capable Wii and you have that NAND backup and the keys), like I said... there are others who could restore it --- for a fee (actually not bad, compared to the price of a new Wii).

I seemingly can't run code, have tried all of Mauis suggestions, it is boot2 capable, and I do still have the NAND backup and the keys. I suppose I should start contacting these people, having looked at the solder points to put an infectus in myself I'm fairly certain I'd screw it up lol. Well actually my roommate just gave me his wii because he bricked this one his is also boot2 capable running a virgin 4.1u install. I guess I'll offer to contact these people and have it fixed on his behalf as its his bricked wii now lol. Thank you for all your help guys!

Try to use the MMM-250 one more time. First format the card with the app I gave you, then extract MMM-250.zip to sd:\
Ensure you have the following setup on sd:\
    sd:\bootmii\
    sdL\wad\
    sd:\startup.elf
    sd:\boot.dol

If MMM loads, let me know and we will move forward. If boot.dol is not found, follow the guide below-

Continue to follow mauifrog's instruction, until all other options are exhausted. I just checked your IP address --- if it comes to it, streamlinehd or deadlyfoez are the ones to contact (USA).

Mauifrog the two MMM archives you sent me were, MMM-58-61_Hackmii_0.8_CB2.zip and MMM_CB2.zip; I don't have MMM-250.zip
