Okay well that guide was made by a dummy but that's besides the point. I could go into detail why not to follow that guide but it would make no difference in helping your situation. I'm sure a moderator will be by soon to remove the link so no one else is tempted to use it.

If I were you I would do what I said in my last post and take a look inside the SD slot to see if you notice any bent pins.

You will need to have power to the Wii before I can help you any further. I'm willing to bet this isn't a software issue so I have no other advice other then check the power connection good.

Look at where the AC adapter plugs into the Wii. Make sure it is clean and there's nothing obstructing it from making a good connection.

You may even want to try a new power adapter.

you were very right sir. It was the power cable/unit. Just tried the one from my neighbors, and I have a green led.

you said something about the manual which was not good for my purpose (dummies), any suggestions?

What SM are you on right now? (SM = System Menu by the way)

Follow this guide if you have any SM except 4.3. The 4.3 Guide is also linked in this guide - Softmod Any Wii Guide

If you run into any trouble just ask

Yes, that's what I was asking for. Follow the link in my previous post and you will be all set. If you have any questions, just post your question in the thread for the guide and someone will help you out.

Glad you didn't drop kick your Wii, It almost sounded like you were about to LOL

Yup, poof and it's gone LOL (this is a reason why we tell users to follow our guides; they're straight-forward and are supported).

Dumb question: did you unplug the Wii from the Wii and the wall? IDK what it is, but something about building up an electrical charge/resistance causes this. I thought I bricked mine one day (doing nothing, other than simply turning it on). Went to my neighbor's and got their power cord/brick and all was well. Waited a bit and plugged it back in with my brick/cord and it was fine and dandy.
