    black screen on a 4.2u

So here is my story. I accidently uninstall the ios70 on a 4.2u when I was rushing to quickly finishing my bro's wii and receive a black screen after restarting his wii. Yea that wasn't smart of me. So I search through the forums and heard that its impossible to fix this problem but with a infectus it may be possible but I didn't like that method because I don't have any soldus skills. I try using bootmii which I have a copy of his nand backup which bootmii didnt boot up on start using the Gamecube controller way. I alos try holding reset while turning on the power but no luck either. His wii blue light flash once if that helps. So asking forum for help if there is another way.
And thanks for helping out. Gonna take a nap check in the morning been at it for at least 6 hours.

Before I ask this, understand that I am not trying to make you feel bad. I have seen a lot of posts about people deleting their system IOS, but I can't figure out why. Why did you do it? What were you trying to do when it happened?

I want to try and help people avoid this in the future, but unless I know what they were trying to accomplish when it happened, there is no chance of that.

Most common reasons are...they try to install IOS70/60 patched with WM but end up uninstalling it. They think they need to update their IOS and then end up installing a stub system menu IOS. They think they need to delete an IOS before installing a different revision. All, useless reasons. This reminds me to finish my system menu and stub IOS guide.

If you do not have the nand.bin backup from bootmii or a wii that is capable of installing bootmii as boot 2... then your wii is toast. Both of these solutions would require you to send your wii to one of the members on this forum that can program your NAND.

I deleted the ios70 by pure accident. I softmod a friend's wii with no problem using this guide http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...y-4-2-wii.html. Easy to follow and straight foward.

I got my brother's nand.bin backup 4.2u on my PC but his wii wont boot up. I also got a wii of my own that is softmod 3.2u which can go into boot 2 mode. Thanks for the help and time.

Hopefully you have a NAND backup and/or bootmii as boot2 installed. If you don't, the good news is that Wii's are dropping to $200, so replacing it won't cost as much.

@Krank Thanks for the info. I knew people sometimes installed stubs by accident, but I didn't know about the wad managers. I thought people were just deleting random IOS's from Dop-Mii or AnyTitleDeleter.

You need the backup from YOUR Wii. Or else a wii old enough to install bootmii as boot2.....either way though (as already mentioned) you need to send your wii away to be fixed. Contact Bad_ad, Erikie or Deadly Foes for more info about this.
