    I think you should explain what you did to end up with a black screen, seemed like your wii was working well a few posts ago.

    i updated the ios through dopmii and next time i powered off it would just show a black screen with one blink of the blue light, luckily managed to get the cd out but had no joy with it, think its bricked, still under warranty and guarantee so will try just get it swapped on monday, but if no joy will come back and try fix it, only reason being as have read a fair bit about the black screen and most of it doesnt seem any good. have read of unmodded wiis doing the same with the black screen after an update so will see what happens when i ring retailer and nintendo. unless it really isnt hard to fix ?, i did make backup of nand and keys if that helps with a solution to this, thanks for replying mauifrog

    I see, well I will have to assume that you updated your system ios70 to the latest and greatest stubbed version 6912- with is the non functional mothballed version.

    Don't do that with your next wii.

    You could send it out for nand reprogramming if the warranty will not fix it.
