Didn't think that was possible. If it was a banner brick would it not have bricked when you installed the channel in the first place?
    Damn I suck!!!!

I am not sure if it falls under bannerbricks.
Anyway, what happened was data management didn't completely delete it, and when I would scroll between channels with +/- the System Menu would search for it. When it wasn't all there, the System Menu would interpret that as corrupted system files.

once my friend bricked me installing a theme he made. before he did that I came here (thanks google ) signed up, read about bootmii/boot2 and installed it and then made mah backup. after that he installed his stupid theme, I bricked, and then I restored my nand backup and then all was normal .

Couriusly I softmodded my wii with a youtube video in less than 20 minutes. I gotta say that itīs easier with images. I guess I was lucky

I added to your poll. I have bricked several times by messing around with custom themes but I had boot2 to fall back on. I uninstalled my System IOS just the other day but it was intentional and needed for an experiment.

Installed cIOSCORP/DARKCORP and using it in a wrong way
What exactly is meant by the wrong way? The only way corp would brick (to my knowledge) is during the install/overwrite of the system menu IOS (and this could happen installing ANY IOS over a system menu IOS....not just a corp cIOS).
    Damn I suck!!!!

I thought most of these bricks were from not uninstalling cIOSCORP/DARKCORP the right way.

That is more or less what I meant. Don't know whether there are any other ways you could brick using cIOSCORP/DARKCORP.

I like the fact you can vote on more than one option

    I had:
"Bannerbricked by installing a wad" and
"Theme brick" (<-- on countless occasions lately )

EDIT: I just looked and no-one has chose bricked from "Used another guide which contained incorrect or unacurate information (e.g. youtube guides)" - At any point in time there is one of these unfortunate folks in the noob section saying those exact (well almost) words.

Yeah, I guess that those bricked with another guide don't come here. Although I am quite sure that an amount is caused by it.

I included the option to vote for multiple options, because you can brick a wii more than once (if you are lucky that is) and in fact I have bricked wii's mulitple times (which al had bootmii/boo2, I don't try risky stuff if it doesn't have bootmii/boot2).
