If you decide to buy them instead of borrowing, I strongly suggest getting the official Nintendo ones. They cost more, but there are just too many reports of 3rd-party component cables breaking in a week or so.

sounds like something's wrong with either your cables, or the connection on your console
    try:
your cables on another wii - to test if it's your cables that are faulty
to get another set of composite cables - to test if it's your connection on the wii
if that doesn't work, try component cables

It is possible/probable. Hopefully it is just an issue with cables. If you get your hands on some comp. cables (you don't need an HDTV to fix it), tell me.

Alright, I'll re-post the results later. If it doesn't work, I'm assuming it's bricked. I did get my wii modded at a place with a strip coming out of the wii, if I remember I could just bring it to that place once again and they'll fix it for free.

I wouldn't say that it's bricked. Bricked is where it doesn't work, yours works, just the video doesn't work

Turns out, my mom sucked it up with a vacuum, again. It's the 3rd time she's done that, so I'm putting it inside the DVD/VCR holder. Luckily, there's an EB games really close to my house. Problem solved.

Kinda off topic, but does anyone know which stores sell composite cables? I've been searching and they only sell component cables which are a bit pricey.
