This is a list of Wii serial numbers that are Boot2 compatible. This information can be useful in case of a brick but not having bootmii installed.
If your Wii = bricked + Boot2 compatible - a nand backup someone with the knowledge and equipment can flash Bootmii/boot2 into your Wii and recover it.


Green = compatible

I am only taking user submitted serials that do not have hollywood date codes if they fall between the current supported/unsupported range which is currently:

Otherwise, I am just updating it myself as I get plenty of Wiis come through and I strip them all (therefore get the hollywood date code)

Also, add US LU31879XXXX - Compatible (this is the highest I've had so far)

I just made an order for 25 consoles so I'll give more numbers as I get through them. ;)

I can also provide a lot of incompatible numbers if you want them but I don't think those are important.

I haven't even considered numbers as high as LU5791 as the list says. I have a few in that range with disc read errors. I'm going to check them out and post if that's correct or not.

This post is a very good idea IMO, however - I'd suggest you let me copy the contents to a new post and then you pin that.

That would give me the ability to edit and maintain it (as could you, as you are staff).

As above, there are some issues with the list and I think we should form our own based on people posting here, not randoms from gbatemp :P

Thanks guys. I added the serial numbers that you gave. This is a dynamic list. I'm sure there is errors here but hopefully with the help of other users, they will all be ironed out.

Let me give it some thought.

LEH208 - this is unknown to me currently, could be either, I would remove it from the list or flag it as yellow for maybe
LEH218 - this is unknown to me currently, could be either, I would remove it from the list or flag it as yellow for maybe
LEH220 - this is unknown to me currently, could be either, I would remove it from the list or flag it as yellow for maybe
LEH2228 - this is unknown to me currently, could be either, I would remove it from the list or flag it as yellow for maybe
LEH2261 - this is unknown to me currently, could be either, I would remove it from the list or flag it as yellow for maybe
LEH2380 - this definately not boot2 compatible


For LEH, I'd just remove all the numbers and just have anything below XXXX is boot2, anything above YYYYY is bootmii IOS

then the range between them is unknown until I get more Wiis from that range.

I'd strongly recommend not using a list from elsewhere and just go off the recognised people on here.

I totally agree!! This list gives us a good start however. If you, Streamlinehd and others can have a look and tell me what serials are compatible and what are not I will leave those. I will let this go for a few days until we get more to add and then I will remove the the rest. This is just a draft list with more to be added.
