    Start your own thread though. Don't post here about your brick.

    Judging by your serial number, your Wii is definitely not Boot2 compatible. The HackMii installer doesn't lie. If it says Bootmii as Boot2 can't be installed then it can't be installed.

    Im confused is boot2 compatable and wiis with LU62 and the drives that wont read backups all the same Im looking at a wii that has the serial LU628877xx I go to the wii data bank and it doesnt list the chipset that would indicate the D3-2 DVD So would this wii be OK to try and softmod or is it 2 seperate issues ? or good for USB play only
    thanks

    LU62xxx Wii is not boot2 compatible. It may have a non-D3-2 drive but I'm positive it will not be boot2.

    OK so I went to list and I have a LU3756 which plays backup but is very close to RED ones on the list...boot info says boot2v4 installed so what is the bottom line it must be compatable

    Other question a LU7805 shows no issues with backup GC2=D3-2 but is it boot2 compatable IE every serial over LU62 not compatable

    Thanks

    I seriously doubt that a LU78xxx is Boot2 compatible and LU3787 is not either so I'm saying the same for your LU3756. The only ways to know for sure is to run the Hackmii installer (does not lie) or opeing the Wii and looking at the date code on the Hollywood chip.

    My brother's is too, I will check the number in a bit and see if it is already on here.
    I think I must be misunderstanding how this whole process works. Why wasn't my serial never added? LU344085 is not on the list, and the closest thing to it is LU34428 but only the first three digits match. I thought you wanted boot2 ones that didn't have the first 6 digits matching. I still haven't checked the serial number on my brother's Wii. It has bootmii boot2 installed, plus it was purchased within a month of the the release date (it was a present for Christmas 2006). I not going to bother going home to find out unless I know there is a reason to.

    Nothing personal but I have just been lazy and not updated this thread. I will do so here before to long. In the update, I am going to take out individual serial numbers and just include ranges. There is not a need for every serial number when it can be condensed. example:

    LU1030 -> LU10954
    LU3535 -> LU4054

    When a number is added at the beginning or end of the range, I will then make an update. I will bump this up in priority as I told Nightstah and now you/the public to be expecting an update.
